They have often been considered muses of the great composers and scholars have repeatedly argued over the years that women are biologically unprepared to compose classical music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this teaching material is to promote and raise awareness of women composers in music history. 98% of the music history syllabus mentions only male composers, the aim is to make known the presence of women in this field, initiating discussions about their existence and their contribution, as well as that of men, to the enrichment of music history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-background-color has-background\"><strong>TYPE OF THE ACTIVITY:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Map\/Video<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-background-color has-background\"><strong>DURATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>50 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-background-color has-background\"><strong>TEACHING AID<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interactive map, laptops, video projector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-background-color has-background\"><strong>TEACHING PRACTICE (STEP BY STEP)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The first step<\/strong> will be for participants to research the proposed theme, looking for one female and one male composer from each period. This documentation should contain some biographical data and the work of the chosen composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The second step <\/strong>is to follow the interactive map created by musicologist Sakira Ventura and have a few comments on the names mentioned:<a href=\"https:\/\/svmusicology.com\/mapa?lang=es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> https:\/\/svmusicology.com\/mapa?lang=es<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The last step<\/strong> is to draw some conclusions about the proposed theme, such as :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What have women contributed to the history of music?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have women managed to make their mark on music history in the same way as men?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What has been the role of women in music history?
