The materials links science to movies or books, such as hard sci-fi books and movies, which are rooted in anthropology, sociology, politics and psychology, to attract young people. It is a different and dynamic way of understanding the world because stories have the ability to create new meanings and ideas and to convey messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activities provided in the StereoSciFi package are easy to use during the planned curriculum (if applicable), or they can be used as extra activities within the school, such as workshops, or even outside of school, such as vacation or club activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TYPE OF THE ACTIVITY:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maximum 45-50 minutes 2-3 session of 45 min.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Describe any instrument or framework that can help to teach with the material chosen (for ex. paper, outdoor education, book\u2026)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Website with teaching materials: Activity book 1 and 2, teacher\u2019s guide. Could be used different application like book creator, movie maker etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TEACHING PRACTICE (STEP BY STEP)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explain for which activities it can be used StereoSciFi Catalogue, presenting 12 books and 12 films of science fiction which can be used to work social stereotypes StereoSciFi Activities Suitcase, containing minimum 3 activities per book \/ film, from a selection of 4 books and 4 films included in the StereoSciFi Catalogue. The activities are to be performed by the students, and are of different types and request different actions from students StereoSciFi Teachers Guide, including guidance and tips in using the StereoSciFi Catalogue and Activities Suitcase, and suggestions to work with students the stereotypes and discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
